Designed by Gaudi originally as a private park

These columns support this open area with curved tiled seating wrapped around and a great view of Barcelona.

There are also areas for walking.

Sagrada Familia

The Temple of the Holy Family in Barcelona has been under construction for over 100 years.   They hope to finish by 2026 but there is a lot yet to build.  Antoni Gaudi spent 40 years on it.

The controversial office building in the distance below has been nicknamed "The Suppository"

There is a real difference between the old part that Gaudi worked on and the newer construction.
Gaudi designed the temple using models.   Many had to rebuilt and more added after his were destroyed during the Spanish Civil War in 1937.
He figured out an ingenious method of strings and weights hung upside down to help engineer his innovative designs.
