Friday Morning 1/9

We want to drive to Barcelona today but there is a big snow storm and most of the roads in Madrid are closed or jammed with traffic.  Kyla's bus was the only one that made it to her school and now she is stuck there.  Snow like this is very rare here.   Most homes, including Kyla's apartment have outdoor semi-enclosed utility patios with the washing machine, clothes hanging and pantry, so cold like this is definitely not the norm.  The news people are having a great time with this just like they do in Minnesota.  I guess we'll just have to hang out with the baby.
